Moments

Moments of Force = Force x Distance from pivot to the force.

/ = Divide

1. a) Ax0.40 = 0.30 x 2N
A(0.40) = 0.6N(0.30)
A(0.40)/0.40 = 2N(0.30)/0.40
A=1.5

1. b) 4N x 0.25m = 0.20 x B
4N(0.25m)/0.20 = 0.20B/0.20
5N=B
B = 5N

2. a) C(0.25) = 4N(0.15)+1N(0.40)
C(0.25) = 2N + 0.4N
C(0.25)/0.25 = 0.2.4N/0.25
C = 9.6N

2. b) 5N x 0.40 = 1N(0.20) = D(0.30)
2N = 0.2N + 0.3D
2N - 0.2N = 0.3D
1.8N/0.3 = 0.30/0.3
6N=D

3)1N/0.25 = 0.24W /0.25
w = 4N

Food Web Project (My Food Web)

1. Cactus Fruits, Flowering Plants
2. Insects, Small Mammals,
3. Road Runners, Coyotes, Eagles, Scorpions.
4. Destroying both species would affect the environment. Many other animals depend on these two animals, and so that would cause a imbalance in the whole ecosystem causing extinction of some species in the ecosystem.
5. Commensalism, for the seed is not hurting the coyote in any way, and gaining its will of transporting away.

Food Chain HW

Food Chain Homework

1.
Squirrels (and other Rodents), Insects, Pronghorns and other gazers.
Badgers
Lizards (and other small reptiles) and Bats
None

2. Their Prey would multiply at a very high rate, and that prey would then consume all the food at a very fast speed and rate and the food would be done at a quick stage, leaving the wolfs prey hungry and starving leading them to extinction and dying.
3. If the population of the lion increases, the same process would occur. Their food is consumed too fast and leaves them with the outcome of no food.
4. Not all the creatures in the food chain eat this particular plant, but depend on other foods and plants, which makes these animals go through starvation and die, which corrupts the whole food chain and the ecosystem above it.
